Verify identity dating
These fake verification sites collect users’ personal information and payment card details, and proceed to sign up victims for subscription-based memberships to adult video and webcam sites that total nearly 0 per month in fees.Verification is a much-desired feature on many social media services today.Reporting a user for spam or inappropriate conduct is straightforward and easy to do.On any given profile, users can tap the ‘3 dots’ icon and select ‘Report’.
And when a female (bot) asks the male (victim) if he’s verified, he may be more interested in following through to do so, because it could lead to a date.
With the new scam making its rounds on Tinder, bots match with users then begin flirty chats that say things like which is just random enough to sound like a cheesy opening line.
Then, after a series of messages with the potential victim, the bot will ask the user if they’re verified on Tinder.
The sites used “Tinder” in their domain name and would use Tinder’s logo and font to make them seem official.
Sites even promise that, after you’re verified, you can receive the contact information from another verified Tinder user who is posing in her lingerie.
Profiles and users promoting any type of third-party verification or requesting personal, financial information and/or payment violate our terms of service, and we have a system in place to remove these profiles from the app.
